2009poolopening 032I generally like the color green.  It looks nice on houses, on some cars and in nature.  It does not look good in my backyard swimming pool.

I am struggling with keeping the pool clear and cloud free.

In the last week, I’ve shocked the pool, dumped in more than a gallon of algecided/clarifier, increased the amount of chlorine and have added the chemical that increases PH levels.

My pool is still a light green color, instead of light blue and it is cloudy instead of clear.  The test strips reveal zero chlorine and no PH.

I am leaving in two weeks to go to San Francisco and I need to have this pool cleared up because when I get back I am going to have a backyard party and people will be using the pool.   It will so not be cool to have a cloudy pool for a pool party.

Not only that, the pool is the main source of entertainment for our summer.

I think the chlorine dispenser I have is inadequate and I need more of the chemical that increases PH.

I’m going to have to go get some more chemicals tomorrow and try to get a different chlorine dispenser.   And I’m going to be asking a lot of questions.  That’s much easier, now that I actually have a computer that can surf the internet without bogging down with one click of the mouse.

If I didn’t have this little issue to deal with life would be just almost very nearly perfect.

Actually, I just wrote this post because I wanted to play on my new computer and couldn’t think of anything else to write.

Hee! Hee!

Oh…but I am having pool problems and I do need to deal with it tomorrow.
